    Delivery of our Interactive Music-Making structured training for early years practitioners in London. Hosted by James Wolfe Primary School and delivered in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.

    United Kingdom

    A 6-week project, delivered in partnership with Innovative Aged Care, providing training to five staff members caring for people living with dementia at Chelsea Court Place Care Home (London).

  • On-site skill-sharing: Invernevis House (Fort William) 2019

    United Kingdom

    A 6-week project provided training to three staff members and one volunteer working at Invernevis House, a residential home for older people, many of whom are living with dementia, in the highlands of Scotland.

  • On-site skill-sharing: MacIntyre No Limits (Luton) 2019

    United Kingdom

    Delivered in partnership with MacIntyre No Limits, the Hertfordshire branch of a UK-wide service. This project provided training to six members of their team who wanted to organise music sessions to provide meaningful group activities for the young people they support.

  • Distance learning programme: OPT 2019

    Occupied Palestinian Territories

    The fourth delivery of this training course, delivered via our Distance Learning Model, run in partnership with Musicians Without Borders. Training activity leaders and social workers to use music in their work with children in the region.

  • On-site skill-sharing: ELCJHLS (Beit Sahour, Bethlehem and Ramallah) 2019

    Occupied Palestinian Territories

    Working with local social worker, Samar, – herself one of our partners since 2013 – we provided training and a supervised Practical Assignment to develop the potential for new teachers working at 3 schools run by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jerusalem and the Holy Land schools in in the towns of Beit Sahour, Bethlehem and Ramallah to use music with their students.

  • Training for trainers: The ARMS Centre (Hyderabad) 2019

    India

    We provided a short Training for Trainers course for one of our Local Partners from the ARMS Centre for Autism (Hyderabad) ahead of co-delivering training to staff working with adults with learning disabilities in Moinabad.

  • On-site skill-sharing: The Vivaan Centre (Moinabad) 2019

    India

    We co-delivered a field project with Local Trainer, Eshwari Rapola (ARMS Centre for Autism) to enable staff working with adults with learning disabilities to use music within their activities at the Vivaan Centre in Moinabad.

  • Motivation programme 2019

    United Kingdom

    The tailored support we offer was pulled together and enhanced under the banner of our new “Motivation Programme”, guided by our Sustainability Review findings from 2018. This comprised CPD events for practitioners to come together share successes, pool resources and troubleshoot, a quarterly newsletter, enhanced online resources and a mechanism through which individual partners might request specific support at any time.

  • Conference participation: Brasov 2019

    Romania

    For the fourth year, the University of Transilvania organised a national music therapy conference in Brasov, at which we were delighted to present and give workshops to participants from around the country, as well as to attend many presentations given by people across Romania with an interst in music therapy (including some of our Local Partners).
