We returned to spend one week with our partners at the Asociatia Down Oradea Romania Day Centre ‘Iedera’ (Oradea) and at the Centru de Recuperare si Reabilitare Neuropsihiatrica (Techirghiol) to support their continued use of music following our introductory training the previous year. Sharing successes, developing practice and troubleshooting.

Provision of a series of lectures across one week, introducing pyschology undergraduates at the Universitatea de Vest (Timisoara) to the clinical practice of music therapy.

Our team spent 6 weeks training local staff to incorporate music into the care and activities they provided for residents with learning disabilities and mental illnesses at the Centru de Recuperare si Reabilitare Neuropsihiatrica, Techirghiol, outside Constanta.

This 6-week project was delivered in response to a request from the non-governmental organisation Asociatia Down Oradea Romania so that they might incorporate music into their work with children and adults with Down Syndrome who attended their Day Centre ‘Iedera’ in Oradea.

We returned to spend one week with our partners at Centru de Art-Terapie ‘Eliza Ionescu and Centru de Recuperare si Educatie Speciala ‘Speranta’ (Timisoara) and Centrul de Zi ‘Sf. Maria’ (Cluj) to support their continued use of music following our introductory training the previous year. Sharing successes, developing practice and trouble shooting!

This 6-week project was the first project which trained local staff to use music with both children and adults with learning disabilities who were attending the parent-led non-governmental Centru de Zi ‘Sf. Maria’.

This 6-week project was delivered to staff working with children at two non-governmental day centres in Timisoara: Centru de Art-Terapie ‘Eliza Ionescu and Centru de Recuperare si Educatie Speciala ‘Speranta’

We returned to spend one week with our partners in Centru de Plasament ‘Orizont, Centru de Plasament ‘Cristina’ and Centru de Plasament ‘Agigea’ (Constanta) and at Fundatia de Sprijin Comunitar (Bacau) to support their continued use of music following our introductory training the previous year. Sharing successes, developing practice and troubleshooting.

Working across three care settings for children and young people in Constanta, this 6 week project saw staff introduced to ways of using music with children and young people at Centru de Plasament ‘Orizont, Centru de Plasament ‘Cristina’ and Centru de Plasament ‘Agigea’.
