  • Follow-up Visits: Timisoara & Negru Voda 2002

    Romania

    We returned to spend one week with our partners at the Centru de Zi ‘Pentru Voi’ (Timisoara) and at the Centru de Recuperare si Reabilitare (Negru Voda) to support their continued use of music following our introductory training the previous year. Sharing successes, developing practice and troubleshooting.

  • Conference Participation: Russia 2011

    Co-wrote and presented a paper with one of our Local Partners from Ungureni (Romania) entitled, “A Combination of Expertise: A UK-Romanian Partnership Develops the Use of Music Therapy In Institutions” at the First International Congress of Music Therapy and Recreative Medicine in the 21st Century, Moscow .

  • Lecture Series: Universitatea de Vest 2001

    Romania

    Provision of a series of lectures across one week, introducing pyschology undergraduates at the Universitatea de Vest (Timisoara) to the clinical practice of music therapy.

  • National Music Therapy Conference: Calimanesti 2001

    Romania

    The first conference we convened in Romania, focusing on the use of music with vulnerable children and adults, took place in Calimanesti. Participants comprised members of our Romania Partner Network and Advisory Panel of Music Therapists, all of whom came together to share their work through presentations and workshops over 2 days.

  • On-site skill-sharing: Centru de Recuperare si Reabilitare (Negru Voda) 2001

    Romania

    At the request of Fundatia Pentru o Viata Mai Buna, we provided a 6-week training project to staff working with children and young people with complex needs at the Centru de Recuperare si Reabilitare, Negru Voda, near Constanta.

  • On-site skill-sharing: Centru de Zi ‘Pentru Voi’ (Timisoara) 2001

    Our second project taking us to Timisoara, we spent 6 weeks providing training for local staff who wanted to use music within their work with adults with disabilities at the Centru de Zi ‘Pentru Voi’, run by the NGO Fundatia Pentru Voi.
