    We returned to spend one week with our partners at the SOS Children’s Village (Bethlehem) to support their continued use of music following our introductory training the previous year. Sharing successes, developing practice and troubleshooting.

  • Structured training: Interactive Music-Making (London) 2010

    United Kingdom

    The first delivery of our Interactive Music-Making structured training for early years practitioners in London. Accredited by the University of Greenwich and devised and delivered in partnershp with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, the course comprised a series of 12 weekly seminars, a practical assignment and a written assignment.

  • On-site skill-sharing: SOS Children’s Village (Bethlehem) 2009

    Occupied Palestinian Territories

    This 6-week training project was the first we delivered outside Romania. We partnered with a group who new the area well – and who commissioned the project – to work with local staff who were interested to explore the scope of music to support the children and young people living in the SOS Children’s Village, Bethlehem.

  • Conference Participation: Brasov 2009

    Romania

    Contribution to the 3rd conference convened by our partner Fundatia de Sprijin Comunitar , “Together through Art for People with Disability ” (Brasov). We attended and presented, but also facilitated the attendance of a number of our Romanian Partners from across the country.

  • Additional training: Fundatia de Sprijin Comunitar (Bacau) 2008

    Hosted by our partners at Fundatia de Sprijin Comunitar (Bacau), this training event focused on guiding 19 of our Local Partners’ consideration of the Role of Boundaries in Therapeutic Work with Music, particlarly in relation to working with challenging behaviour.

  • Support visit: Pentru Voi (Timisoara) 2008

    Romania

    We returned to our partners at Pentru Voi (Timisoara) to provide professional support and guidance to strengthen their use of music in their new Day centre, ‘Ladislau Tacsi’ and to help a pervious training participant establish music in a new care setting, Podul Lung.

  • Additional training: Centrul Scolar pentru Educatie Incluziva Nr.1 (Oradea) 2007

    Hosted by our partners at Centrul Scolar pentru Educatie Incluziva Nr.1, Oradea, we provided Additional Training for our partners across Romania with a focus on using music with children with autistic spectrum disorders, and on musical skills more widely.

    We returned to spend one week with our partners at Complexul de Servicii Comunitare Pentru Copilul cu Handicap and at the Day Centre run by a local non-governmental organisation, Casa Luminii (Sibiu) to support their continued use of music following our introductory training the previous year. Sharing successes, developing practice and troubleshooting.
