    We returned to Abbeyfields, Ballachulish to support staff with their ongoing use of music following the introductory training project delivered in 2017. Sharing successes, developing practice and troubleshooting.

    Occupied Palestinian Territories

    We provided consultancy to an independent music therapist delivering introductory training to staff working with chdilren with disabilities at the Jerusalem Princess Basma Centre.

  • Structured training: Interactive Music-Making (London) 2018

    United Kingdom

    Delivery of our Interactive Music-Making structured training for early years practitioners in London. Hosted by James Wolfe Primary School and delivered in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, the course comprised a series of 12 weekly seminars and a practical assignment, evidencing their practice with a Practice Portfolios and a live presentation.

  • Distance learning programme: Romania 2018

    Romania

    Delivery of our Distance Learning course, which comprises a series of 7 monthly tutorials and written assignments, participation in an Intensive Study Weekend – hosted by the University of Transylvania in their new Music Therapy Centre – and a supervised Practical Assignment.

    Occupied Palestinian Territories

    The third delivery of this training course run in partnership with Musicians Without Borders. The course equips participating activity leaders and social workers to use music in their work with children in the region.

  • On-site skill-sharing: The Shraddha Centre (Hyderabad) 2018

    India

    A 6-week project providing training to teachers at The Shraddha Centre for Special Education (Hyderabad) so that they might establish a programme of music sessions for their pupils with learning disabilities.

    We offered a series of 3 CPD events to early years practitioners who had graduated from our Structured training. An opportunity to share successes, pool ideas and troubleshoot.

    United Kingdom

    We returned to the care settings who accessed introductory training from us in 2016-17 to assess the medium term impact of these projects and to support the staff’s continued use of music with those in their care. Additionally we were keen to find out what practitioners and their managers felt was needed in terms of future support and/or training.
