Music Therapist, Clare Reynolds delivered a skill sharing project in Romania in 1999 and has since been involved with the charity through our advisory panel of Music therapist who meet once a year. We are therefore very excited to be supporting Clare to deliver a Skill Sharing project in the Highlands of Scotland where she is from. Hannah our Projects Operation Manager went for the first week to support Clare in setting up the project. Clare updates us on the first week:
Week 1 of the project in Fort William is already complete! It’s been fun and it was wonderful to have Hannah here steering me into it and supporting this Highland project. Both centres – Moss park is a care home where many residents live with dementia and Alzheimers and the Montrose Centre which is an NHS day centre for adults with learning disabilities – have been very welcoming and open to what we are hoping to do and achieve and I am delighted to see that music is something both enjoyed already and more importantly valued. I am very much looking forward then to beginning sessions next week and I’ll keep you posted…
