After a tough year, we are thrilled to announce we are finalists in CMM’s prestigious Third Sector Care Awards! Our UK programme specifically has been nominated in the Innovative Quality Outcomes category
“This award recognises an individual, group or organisation finding new ways to achieve quality outcomes that make a difference to the lives of people using services. The innovation could be a small, significant change or a complete change in practice.”
This award recognises an individual, group or organisation finding new ways to achieve quality outcomes that make a difference to the lives of people using services. The innovation could be a small, significant change or a complete change in practice.
We have always championed genuine long-term outcomes through cost-effective, music therapist led skill-sharing projects. Our training model has proven transferrable across contexts and cultures, and we know it leads to sustainable music practice. Though our work in the UK began only four years ago, with the ‘Bringing it all Back Home’ campaign, we are so proud of the thriving partner network we see today. The UK Programme is of course indebted to our many years experience overseas, too. So, it really is wonderful to be recognised for our progress delivering innovative quality outcomes in the UK at this current, pivotal moment – just as we begin to offer new ways of doing music in response to Covid-19.
However this nomination is, first and foremost, testament to the hard work and dedication of our partners across the UK, without whom the UK programme would simply not exist.
The winners of the Award will be announced at the Award Ceremony, at a date tbc in 2021. We will keep you posted! Don’t forget to share the good news on social media and spread the word!
