On World Music Therapy Day (1st March), Jenny and Isabel attended and presented at our Local Partner’s first Music Therapy Conference in Tbilisi, Georgia. The theme for the conference was ‘Music Unites’. Over 55 people attended and at one point, there was only room for standing! Backgrounds of the attendees ranged from representatives from the Ministry of Education to parents of beneficiaries and to individuals from other towns in Georgia with an interest of hearing more about the power of music. Local Partner, Teona Kacheishvili, hopes that this conference will be the first of many!

The following day, our team ran a workshop for our Local Partners in which the focus was on the use of songwriting as a clinical tool. We are glad that we have been able to support our Local Partners this year and we look forward to continuing to do so.
