It has been over a year since we started development work on Music Helps (UK), our online training course designed for caregivers working with people living with dementia in the UK.
Over this time, we have thought carefully about how to tailor the course content to a multicultural UK audience, adapting content from our original Music Helps India course with new illustrations, video examples, caregiver interviews, music references, and course content.
For instance, how might your cultural heritage affect your experience of dementia care and support? What factors influence the music that is meaningful to each of us? Which tools might help you to explore someone’s musical history?
We are delighted to share news that the course pilot will be launched very soon and potential participants can register their interest to enrol now!
Do you support people living with dementia, either at home or professionally? Are you interested to explore how music can play a role in your daily care and benefit someone living with dementia?
Watch a short preview of the course below and click here to register your interest to enrol for the course pilot when it is launched.
