Congratulations to our Local Partner Eshwari Rapola, from the ARMS Centre in Hyderabad (Abhaya Care Foundation) who presented a paper at the India Music Therapy Association’s inaugaural conference in Delhi at the start of the month. We took an introductory training project to the ARMS Centre in 2015 and the staff, including Eshwari, have been running music sessions ever since. We returned to offer some support and Additional Training this year and were so impressed by everything they are doing.

Eshwari’s presentation, “Music is a Tool (Bhramastra): Understanding Music as our tool and Music can help us to achieve non-musical goals” reflected on her experiences and explained the positive outcomes she has seen music have for the children and young adults with disabilities that attend ARMS.
