There are just a few days left to apply for our next Interactive Music-Making (IMM) programme for early years practitioners, with the deadline for applications on Friday 6th September 2024.
The course teaches a unique, child-centred approach to music-making, designed to foster each child’s individual potential and make music an integral part of their early development. No prior musical skills are necessary!
Delivered by us and our network of IMM Associate organisations, this year’s programme will be delivered from Lewisham, South-East London with weekly teaching seminars taking place on Friday afternoons (12-3pm) between September and December 2024.
The long-term impact of IMM training
IMM training is designed to be sustainable in its impact, enabling early years setting and practitioners to strengthen the resources they have to offer the young children in their care for years to come.
You might have seen our 2023-24 impact summary detailing the reach of this year’s programme. But time and again we hear how the benefits of IMM extend far beyond the initial training, becoming an integral part of the learning support early years settings have to offer.
Hear from just a few of the early years settings who have spoken about how they have embedded IMM practice into their own services below:
- Quaggy Development Trust
Maytree Nursery School and Children’s Centre
Greyce Music
Springfield Primary School
Robert Owen Nursery School
I have felt so enriched after taking part in the interactive music making course. It’s so rewarding, seeing how much the children are benefitting from the session and seeing how this continues to support them in their learning.
