Good luck to our 10 Distance Learning Programme students in Romania who are in the middle of their Practical Assignments!
After 8 months of digesting online tutorials and submitting written assignments, followed by participation in a 2-day Intensive Study Training in early September, our dedicated course participants are now putting their learning into practice. Over the course of this academic term they will deliver weekly music sessions to small groups of young children with disabilities. They will document their practice fully and report to us on a weekly basis, as well as engage in online supervision provided by Music Therapist and Advisory Panel member, Hazel Child.
In the coming weeks, 40 children will immediately experience the benefit of music in their weekly activities. And, looking to the future, this year’s Distance Learning Programme will have created opportunities for as many as 1,384 children to access music sessions, as our students graduate and extend their practice more widely in the places where they work around the country.
