Embracing the expertise and experience of our Advisory Panel

Our Advisory Panel is a dedicated volunteer group, with the majority of the group consisting of qualified music therapists, who help deliver and contribute to our projects. We met at the end of last month to discuss our planned UK and International activities for the year.
Each member holds a host of experience and knowledge to share with us, and our annual meeting provides our team with an opportunity to get their guidance on current music therapy practices.
This year, we are excited to welcome Emma Britton, Cat Dellabona, Larisa Neculai, Marion Renault and Erin Williams-Jones to the Panel, who bring a range of experience from our activities in Ethiopia, Romania and here in the UK alongside their collective music therapy expertise.
As part of our new three-year strategy, we are committed to uphold our culture of continuous improvement. So alongside our wider discussions about the activities Music as Therapy International will be delivering worldwide in 2023, we turned to our Panel for a stimulating discussion about small developments and changes to clinical music therapy training and practice that they have observed over the past 24 months.
Our Advisory Panel members confirmed that our approach to activities is still relevant which left us feeling confident and excited for our upcoming projects for the year.
A huge thank you to Matrix for generously providing us with a beautiful meeting space to host our meeting, and to all our Advisory Panel members who contributed to the day’s discussions.
