We are pleased to announce a new partnership with a local association as part of the Distance Learning Programme: Therapeutic Work with Music for Children with Disabilities, which has been delivered in Romania since 2009. We are delighted to welcome CoMusica as the second Romanian organisation to join this initiative, offering supervision services for the Distance Learning Programme.

CoMusica is the result of Eleonora Roșca’s hard work and dedication. Eli is a Romanian music therapist who has worked with Music as Therapy International since 2023. Her involvement in the Distance Learning Programme contributed to a significant step forward in supporting local leadership and enhancing the impact of our work in Romania.

Asociația Comusica (NGO) is excited to partner with Music as Therapy International to expand access to music therapy for individuals across Oradea and Romania.

Founded this year by Eleonora Roșca, a UK-trained music therapist based in Romania, the NGO was created with support from local organizations and businesses. Since its launch, Comusica has provided free group music therapy sessions to over 40 adults with disabilities in Oradea.

The NGO’s first project, Creating Communities Through Music, was made possible through a grant from the Fundația Comunitară Oradea, awarded as part of their fundraising initiative, The Talent Scholarship.

Comusica seeks to make music therapy available more widely to people with disabilities, while educating people about the benefits of music therapy, disseminating information about the benefits of improvisational music therapy and neurologic music therapy.

This is our second strategic partnership in Romania, complementing the ongoing successful collaboration with Sound Art E-Motion (represented by Monika Manases), which continues to facilitate the course accreditation with 50 credits from COPSI (The College of Psychologists in Romania).
